Conservation in South Africa
At Safaris For Me, we are deeply concerned about and committed to conserving what remains of our wild heritage. As a result of the population explosion and the competition for land, human encroachment into these areas seriously threatens the existence of these wild areas on our planet and the biodiversity that exists within them. Man, at the top of the food chain, is the cause for many species today being close to extinction or seriously endangered, as a result of a multitude of factors ranging from competition for land, trophy hunting and poaching among others.
It is largely through education, and exposing guests to our natural heritage that we can begin to win this ongoing battle to save our wild places, and leave a legacy for our children, to experience a Cheetah strolling majestically across the plains of Africa, to see a mother Leopard washing her cubs, a herd of Elephant moving silently through the bush.
We will endeavour to keep you informed regarding all the latest issues in conservation, by providng you with up to date and relevant articles which you can read and enjoy.
Please contact us should you have any queries or would like to support one of the many Non-Profit NGO’s (Non Governmental Organisations) who rely on donations, pledges and bequests from concerned members of the public who are committed to conserving our heritage for future generations to enjoy.
