Immunisations For South Africa
No immunisations are required for entry into the country, with the exception of a Yellow Fever vaccination for all travellers above 1 year of age who will be entering South Africa within 6 days of leaving an infected area. In this case, a Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate will be required upon entry. See list below.
Countries Falling Within the Yellow Fever Belt
Any required vaccinations for travel to South Africa should be approved by the World Health Organization (WHO) and administered at least 10 days before departure for South Africa at any yellow fever approved vaccination centres as the vaccine offers protection 10 days after administration. If the vaccination is administered less than 10 days before departure, travellers may be refused entry.
